NEW - Vocational Training Program!

Mi Work Matters is excited to announce our new Vocational Education Program that teaches participants job skills that will strengthen their employability options in the workplace and community. This program is designed specifically for people 16+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have a goal of working in the community.

The innovative curriculum will focus on preparing participants for employment within the Mi Works Matters organization or at other places that align with their skills and interests. The emphasis will be on hands-on, interactive training that promotes success in the workplace. Topics include customer service, communication skills and job readiness preparation.

Participants will also be trained in the Standard Operating Procedures of Anastasia and Katie's Coffee Shop. There will be three sessions (four, six or eight weeks in duration) and a certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of each session. Our vocational job skills program is developed and facilitated by a licensed and experienced State of Michigan vocational teacher.

Registration with payment is required. Once registered, a payment link will be provided.
